Tournament Rules
Rules: Solely the tournament committee will interpret these rules and decisions as final.
Tournament Committee: Tournament Committee will consist of three tournament participants selected the morning of the tournament and a White River Valley Electric Representative. By your participating in this event you are agreeing to a polygraph test if the committee requests it.
Eligibility: Participation is open to all individuals 18 years or older who have paid the entry fee.
Headquarters: Theodosia Marina
Departure: Sequence in order which entry fees are received.
Tackle and Equipment: Only artificial baits may be used. Pork style baits are allowed. All fish must be caught on rod and reel.
Boats and Motors: Any boat 14 feet or longer will be accepted if powered by an engine of 10 horsepower or more, with working aerated live wells. Boats may not be trailered during tournament hours. All Missouri Water Patrol laws and regulations shall apply.
Safety and Sportsmanship: Safe boating and fishing practices must be observed. Life jacket must be worn when big motor is running with kill switch attached to operator.
Permitted Fishing Locations: Anywhere on the tournament lake except within 50 yards of: (a) public boat docks, (b) another contestant's boat, or (c) any location where deemed by Federal or State law of no fishing allowed.
Boat Identification: Team Number
Scoring: Only large mouth bass, spotted bass, and small mouth bass will be counted. Six bass per team limit. Only large mouth bass and small mouth bass 15 inches or larger, or spotted bass 12 inches or larger will be counted. Any bass that does not meet the length requirements will be penalized with the loss of that fish plus the loss of one pound for each short fish from the total weight. No iced or frozen fish. This will result in immediate disqualification. His or her signature on weigh-in slip must certify each competitor's catch.
Ties: In case of a tie the winner will be determined by the earliest entry.
Protests: Protest must be filed with the tournament committee within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the weigh-in.
Check in Late Penalty: Contestants who are not in the official check-in area at the appointed time will be penalized at the rate of one pound per minute. NO EXCUSES. The tournament committee keeps official time.

In signing this agreement, I hereby release the White River Valley Electric Trust fishing tournament, WRVEC, its organizers, officers, agents, employees and sponsors from all damages, claims, demands, costs, or expenses relating to injury of any persons or any property which I may sustain or which may cause by reason of participating in or in connection with this tournament. I further release WRVEC Trust for all damages relating to adverse weather conditions while participating in this tournament.
