ENERGY STAR® Appliances & Electronics
Appliances and electronics featuring the ENERGY STAR® logo use less energy than similar models. The EPA introduced the ENERGY STAR® program in 1992 as a voluntary labeling program to promote the use of energy-efficient products. Computers and monitors were the first products to receive the label. The program now includes a wide variety of office equipment, household appliances, and residential heating and cooling equipment.
