Branson, Mo. – As of 12:45 p.m., there are approximately 3,500 members without power. This number is down from the peak at 3:30 a.m. when 8,700 members were without power.
The most heavily affected areas in Stone and Taney counties included Kimberling City, Stonebridge, DD Highway, Indian Point, Compton Ridge, 76 Highway through Branson and Powersite, and Cedar Creek. There are scattered outages in Christian, Ozark and Douglas counties.
Crews have been out working since 1:45 a.m. and will continue work until power is completely restored to members.
WRVEC asks that the public stay away from any downed power lines on the ground or hanging from poles as they may still have electricity running through them.
