4,900 WRVEC members without power following storm

Branson, Missouri – As of 11:50 a.m., White River Valley Electric Cooperative has widespread power outages across their five-county service area. Approximately 4,900 members are without power due to the storm that passed through the area this morning.

Crews from all WRVEC offices have been dispatched to assess and begin repairing the damage. Members should keep in mind that WRVEC will restore power to the largest concentrated area of outages first.

All downed power lines should be considered extremely hazardous. WRVEC asks the public to stay away from any downed power lines as they may still have electricity running through them. It is critical to leave these lines undisturbed and to report them to WRVEC as soon as possible.

The co-op is working diligently to restore power to members as quickly and safely as possible. For continued updates as they happen, visit WRVEC’s Facebook or Twitter page. To report outages, members are encouraged to call the WRVEC outage reporting line at 1-800-879-4056.
