Newest co-op board members train to best represent their constituents

The newest White River Valley Electric Cooperative board members Jennifer Whorton and Dr. Jeff Hyatt attended the Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate Program.

The Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) curriculum consists of five courses designed to provide essential knowledge and skills required of cooperative directors, allowing them to best represent the members they serve.

WRVEC is part of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.  NRECA represents more than 900 member, not-for-profit cooperatives, public power districts and public utility districts in the U.S.

NRECA’s Director Certificate Programs are specifically designed to help electric cooperative directors, at every stage of their service, understand their roles and responsibilities, stay up-to-date on key issues and trends in the industry,  and prepare them to meet the challenges facing electric cooperatives now and in the future.
