White River linemen continue training for reliable service

Utility lineman push for continued education to keep safe and provide their customers with reliable electricity.  Kevin Compton, Jeff Wasson, Bobbie Aldridge, Cory Sanders, Zack Farmer and Mark Visnosky, employee(s) of White River Valley Electric Cooperative, Branson, attended AMEC’s Regulator, Oil Circuit Recloser (OCR) and Capacitor School at the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperative (AMEC) Training Center on February 7-9 in Jefferson City.

Jim Reinhardt, Brett Donjon, Brian Hunter and Kevin Reinhardt from the Fletcher-Reinhardt Company and Fletcher-Reinhardt Service Company, served as instructors for the school.

Topics covered included: voltage regulation, load reduction, operation/maintenance of high voltage regulators, OCRs and capacitors, proper fusing coordination, system coordination and basic applications of the latest technology available for electronic regulator and OCR controls.
