WRVEC line crews restore power to 2000 members

Branson, Mo. – Around 4am White River Valley Cooperative experienced service outages around Indian Point and isolated parts of the Ozark area, affecting members in both Stone and Christian counties.

Overnight storms produced high winds that resulted down tree limbs in the power lines. The limbs caused feeders in two substations to malfunction.

In excess of 2,000 members experienced loss of electricity when the outage peaked.  On-call crews worked diligently to restore power to all those affected.

Members are encouraged to stay safe and report issues to the outage reporting line at 1-800-695-0056 or 417-335-9333. Up-to-date information is displayed on the WRVEC Facebook page.
