Branson, Missouri –
White River Valley Electric Cooperative hosted its 82nd Annual Meeting of Members Saturday September 11, 2021. The business meeting live streamed online from WRVEC’s website for members to view and participate. Members could use a call-in option if they did not have access to internet. The only physical attendees were WRVEC staff participating in the meeting, current Board members, Board nominees, and the Cooperative’s attorney.
The meeting highlighted general updates from WRVEC. Election results from the eligible board seats were announced, and proposed bylaw amendments were passed with tremendous member support. Additionally, there was a live Q&A session where members submitted questions online to be answered during the meeting.
“We appreciate our members taking the time to participate in cooperative business.” Said Cassie Cunningham, Manager of Communications and Member Engagement. “Member engagement is vital to the continued success and smooth operation of the Cooperative.”
WRVEC members voted in record numbers for the second year in a row, casting 2,403 votes online or through mail-in ballots. The winners of the 2021 board election are listed below.
- James (Jim) Burns (District B)
